Programs

Busy Bees : Busy Bees are with us 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday 9AM – 5PM. Busy Bees receive the maximum level of service available in our program, and are completing the scientifically recommended regimen of treatment. Busy Bees are in a comprehensive program, rarely needing any additional therapies.

Caterpillars : Caterpillars come to 1 st Choice EI 30 – 39 hours per week. Their typical schedule is 9:00AM until around 3:00PM (for our lowest hour caterpillars). Caterpillars have very comprehensive programs. Most families with children in caterpillars view the program as the child's primary education and do not use other therapies or educational options in conjunction with our program.

Fireflies : The fireflies spend 20 – 29 hours per week at EI. This is one of our most popular programs. It is flexible yet high hour, affording a fairly comprehensive program while allowing ample time for other commitments. A sample firefly schedule is 9:00AM to 2:00PM daily. Parents of fireflies have the option of using our program as their complete education or adding public or private school hours during the week.

Dragonflies : This option is friendly for families on a budget while still allowing a good amount of service. Dragonflies are typically seen daily for 3 or more hours per day. The consistency of therapy sessions, which is so important to generalization and maintenance, is achieved without the price tag of a full day program. Dragonflies meet 10 – 19 hours per week.

Love Bugs (2:1) - Love Bugs are almost ready to transition to larger settings. They are learning to work with peers and participate in small group activities.

The following options are available for those in the love bugs program.

LB10 (10 - 19 hours per week)
LB20 (20 – 29 hours per week)
LB30 (30 - 39 hours per week)
LB40 (40 hours per week)

Transitional EI program: Must be eligible AND must have a peer that is a good match registered for the same program. These programs are only available for children receiving 10 hours per week or more of service.
